Starting Pay

$16.80 – $18.79/hour + full county benefit package, (after 6 month probationary period, depending on experience).

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, a valid Michigan driver’s license, plus previous career or personal experience working with the elderly and/or educational experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this position. Caseworker or Social Work experience or training is a plus, but not a requirement. Position requires car for travel throughout Ionia County + a good driving record. A desire to work and grow in the aging field is highly preferred.

General Summary

This is a full-time position split between casework and administrative/project work. A successful candidate will be a caring individual with top notch people skills, excellent computer skills, and a passion to excel in a social services environment.

Essential Skills

Ability to prioritize tasks to be completed, ability to meet deadlines, ability to lead a project through to completion, able to keep a calm head under pressure, long range and short term planning skills.

Caseworkers travel to homes to perform assessments, create care plans, make community referrals and conduct ongoing case monitoring for senior clients.

In the administrative role, this position provides an opportunity to assist with a variety of projects to hone your administration skills – procurements, direct client work projects, financial transactions, building agency referral resources and supporting agency outreach.

Opportunity to take on additional agency work in area of interest.
