Court Administrative Assistant/ADR Clerk

Full-time Position

$15.24/hour – 37.5 hours per week

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma, supplemented by one or more years of
clerical experience in a law firm or law-related work. Applicants with paralegal experience, certificate or degree preferred. Computer experience and ability to work well with others in a fast paced, professional environment with diverse tasks required.

General Summary: Responsible for coordinating the alternative dispute resolution services of the 8th Judicial Circuit, encompassing Ionia and Montcalm Counties, as to mediation and case evaluation. This position also provides an important general assistance role to the Circuit Court Administrator and Court Recorders and helps to ensure the efficient operation of the administrative office of the 8th Judicial Circuit Court. This includes answering phone calls, scheduling hearings on judicial calendars, answering emails, recording court hearings utilizing existing software, and helping to manage jury trial, amongst other duties. Travel will be required between Ionia and Montcalm Counties.

The Administrative Assistant/ADR Clerk reports to Court Administrators.
