Based upon the Governor’s Executive Order No. 2020-110, all Ionia County buildings and non-essential departments and services are now OPEN to the public. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.



Part-time Position Opening in May 2020

Starting Pay: $12.59/hour

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. A valid Michigan driver’s license and own reliable transportation is required. Mileage is reimbursed.

General Summary: Must have the demonstrated ability by previous experience to work effectively with the elderly and to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients. Caseworker or Social Worker experience is helpful, but not a requirement. Must be: flexible, enjoy people and possess proficient computer skills.

COA Caseworkers travel throughout Ionia County for in home client visits & assessments, write and/or collaborate on care plans, assist clients with referrals to other agencies, and document client needs and delivery of service in agency database. Opportunity to contribute on special projects.

Experience facilitating group discussions and/or with Medicare/Medicaid counseling a big plus.
