How to Pay

Please read the front and back of your ticket(s) and follow the directions. Many tickets can be paid without appearing in court.

To pay your ticket by mail, sign the back of the ticket (for each charge) and return it to the court with a check or money order for the amount owed (minus any bond that was posted), payable and addressed to 64-A DISTRICT COURT at 100 W. Main Street, Ionia, Michigan 48846.

Fines

Listed below are some of the tickets you can pay by mail. If your ticket is not listed, wait 3 days (to allow the court to receive a copy of the ticket) and then call (616) 527-5346. Please have your ticket in front of you when you call.

IF A MOVING VIOLATION OCCURED IN A SCHOOL ZONE (BEGINNING 30 MINUTES BEFORE SCHOOL IN THE MORNING AND 30 MINUTES AFTER SCHOOL IN THE AFTERNOON) OR IN A CONSTRUCTION ZONE, ADD $25.00 TO THE AMOUNT OWED. IF YOU DO NOT PAY YOUR FINES AND COSTS BY THE APPEARANCE DATE, ADD AN ADDITIONAL $25.00 AS A DEFAULT FEE.

If officer has checked the { } Waive Box on front of citation that proof of registration was valid and/or if proof brought to the Court within 14 days, charge will be dismissed

If the officer has checked the { } Waive Box on the front of ticket, the charge can be dismissed upon Proof that you now have a child restraint or if R & O has signed citation that correction has been made along with returning citation to Court within 14 days
