Home Delivered Meals are available to eligible Ionia County Seniors. Meals are delivered Monday through Friday in time for a hot noon meal. Clients may also qualify for a second, cold meal and frozen weekend meals. These meals are a general, no salt added diet. The determination for Home Delivered Meal service is based on a required, bi-annual assessment performed in the client home. Clients must be home to receive meals. Our current Meals on Wheels™ delivery schedule is Monday through Friday each week.
We deliver a mix of hot meals, cold meals and frozen meals, prepared in our kitchen. Holidays, inclement weather and staffing may result in delivery schedule changes. We will notify you of these changes when they occur.
Eligibility
Ionia County residents age sixty and over who are homebound (unable to leave their home on a regular basis without assistance) or need additional support.
Cost
A suggested donation of $3.00 per meal is requested to help cover costs.
