Home Delivered Meals are available to eligible homebound, older adults. Meals are delivered Monday through Friday in time for a hot noon meal. Those who wish may request a cold night meal, breakfast meal, and frozen weekend meals. These meals are a general, no salt added diet. The determination for Home Delivered Meals is made by a caseworker who makes a needs assessment together with the client. Check out our most recent newsletter for a look at the monthly menu.
Due to COVID-19, our current Meals on Wheels™ delivery schedule is:
Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays each week. We are delivering a mix of hot meals, cold meals and frozen meals, home-cooked from our kitchen. Drivers will maintain safe social distancing. Holidays may result in delivery schedule changes.
Eligibility
Ionia County residents age sixty and over who are homebound (unable to leave their home on a regular basis without assistance) or need additional support.
Cost
A suggested donation of $3.00 per meal is requested to help cover costs.
