Part-time Position Available
Starting Pay: $14.87 – $16.68/hour (after 6 month probationary period), depending on experience. Part-time, 20 to 28 hours per week.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. A valid Michigan driver’s license and own reliable transportation is required. Monthly mileage reimbursement.
Must have the demonstrated ability by previous experience to work and communicate effectively with seniors, clients and colleagues. Caseworker or Social Worker experience is helpful, but not a requirement. Must be flexible, enjoy people and be able to meet deadlines. Top notch computer skills are required, with proficiency in Microsoft Office. A proficiency test will be given at the time of interview.
COA Caseworkers travel throughout Ionia County for visits and assessments in client homes, write and collaborate on care plans, assist clients with referrals to other resources, document client needs in agency database and provide ongoing case monitoring.
Opportunity to contribute to special projects. Experience facilitating group discussions, with Medicare/Medicaid counseling, MI Tax Credits preparation assistance, or with other supportive services is a big plus.
