Transportation Maintenance Worker – Full-time
The Ionia County Road Department is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Transportation Maintenance Worker. This is a union position. Responsibilities include all types of road maintenance activities, including equipment operation and manual labor. Candidates must possess a Michigan Unrestricted Class A CDL with air brakes, a medical certification card, and the ability to pass a drug test. Must have, or can obtain, an “N” tanker truck endorsement. Heavy equipment experience is helpful. Candidates must be willing and available to work overtime and be on call at all hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. A complete job description is attached in the right margin.
Ionia County offers a competitive salary and a rich fringe benefit package. The base wage is $29.12 per hour.
