In-Office Searching
If you are looking for a copy of your latest deed, you may visit our office and our staff can look it up for you. Please note that this is a search for the last deed or other document under a specified name and is not a search by property. We recommend contacting a title company or performing your own search for more in-depth information. You can do this online with Tapestry (see below for more information) or by using our Public Workstations in the Register of Deeds office for free. For staff searching there is a $5.00 search fee and a $1.00 per page copy fee. Documents can be certified for an additional $5.00 fee. Searching by Grantor/Grantee at the Public Workstations is free and copies are $1.00 per page. Searching at the Public Workstations by legal description or parcel number is $1.00 per minute.
Remote Searching
The Ionia County Register of Deeds offers two options for remote document searching. Please read below to determine which option is best for your situation.
Tapestry Eon
Tapestry is a web-based search service that allows users to search land records and index information. This service has an $8.95 fee per search and is ideal for one-time or casual searching. Copies of images have the standard $1.00 per page fee.
Laredo
Laredo allows users to search land records for a monthly fee and is ideal for regular or professional searching. Email deeds@ioniacounty.org or call (616)527-5320 for more information or to set up an account.
If you are having problems using Tapestry or Laredo, or would like assistance learning the programs please call the Fidlar Support Team (M-F 8:00 am-7:00pm) at 563-345-1283 or email support@FIDLAR.com. Please do not contact the Register of Deeds office until after contacting Fidlar Support.
